It's not often, in fact I can't think of it ever happening before but a casino group operating Microgaming software has it seems adopted bad business practices to say the least. The group in question is Grand Prive Casinos.
So what's going on? Well in short they terminated the contracts they had with all their affiliates at very short notice but then kept the casinos open. So what you ask, but let me explain. An affiliate is a person who markets the casino on the Internet and in return is paid a percentage of the casinos earnings from the player the affiliate referred to the casino.
In essence this means that all the players brought through the doors of Grand Prive Casinos by affiliates and who continue to play will make the casino money - but the affiliate won't be getting paid a penny.
In other words the casino gets the business but the affiliate gets nothing.
Does it mean anything for players? Yes it does. Ask yourself this before you play there.
If the company is having to resort to such business practices with loyal affiliates, can a player be sure that they will get their money out when the time comes?
If your answer casts ANY doubt in your mind at all, then play safe, play elsewhere.
Here's a list of the casinos operated by Grand Prive Casinos.
Grand Bay
Grand Bay Poker
Bella Vegas
Jupiter Club
Lake Palace
Road House Reels
Fortune Junction
Jackpot Wheel
Villa Fortuna
Our advice would be to avoid playing these casinos and look for an online casino that operates more ethically. Check out all our good online casinos here.
